THURSDAY DINNER DATE X CENTER CITY @ 6/03/2011

Working in an office 5 days out of the week working for 8 and 9 hours is such a drag. Chelly and I came up with the bright idea to be spontaneous and go try some where we have never eaten before downtown! We've been in Philly for almost 4 years now and we are just honestly getting the chance to explore.

We decided to dine at Continental Mid-town located at
1801 Chestnut Street Philadelphia, PA 19103
This is one of many Stephen Starr restaurants in the area. We did our research and decided that after seeing pics of Thai Chicken Skewers and Cheesesteak Eggrolls that this would be the perfect place to have our first date night of the summer :)

I must say we left totally impressed and well fed ! We only ordered water to drink because we're trying to incorporate more water into our unhealthy college diets, lol. Then the fun began; Chelly started off by ordering the Shoestring French Fries and the Thai Chicken Skewers that came with an amazing peanut sauce, I ordered the Continental Salad which was too dieeeeeeee for ! lol I also ordered the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla which was heaven in my mouth.

We thought we were done until she brought out the dessert menu, which was just as affordable as the entree' menu ! I indulged in a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup and Chelly went totally out of her limits an ordered a Raspberry Cheesecake with a Grapefruit sorbet on the side. The desserts were bite sized and did not make the buttons on our pants pop!

Our bill came up to about $53, which is extremely affordable for the amount of food and the portion sizes we received at the Continental. I am sure that we will be attending again, I suggest all of you reading go enjoy the place as well. You'll even enjoy the scenery, inside and outside of the restaurant. You can dine in the restaurant, on top of the restaurant, or outside right on Chestnut! The lighting is very dim and intimate, the decor was amazing to look at, and the staff was extremely friendly :)

Can you tell that we had a great time ?

Our night ended on South St, a place we haven't been in ages, and boy was it an experience LMAO! We even got to see Tatman's cute ass, he's always a joy :)
